The Coastal Lab @ Melbourne is a research and teaching laboratory co-ordinated by A/Prof David Kennedy which focuses on understanding the dynamics of coastal landforms, the role of extreme events and sea level change in driving coastal evolution and how people and landscape interact with each other.
The lab conducts research globally, nationally and within Victoria for a range of stakeholders from community groups, through to State and federal Government agencies and commercial enterprises. Its research is published in the leading academic journals in the field. This research is publicly engaged directly contributing to the management of our local environment and communicated through public talks and all media outlets.
